Dr. Charles R. Rogers

Biography

Charles R. Rogers, PhD, MPH, MS, MCHES® is a nationally recognized behavioral scientist, health equity strategist, and population health researcher focused on how trust, behavior, data, and systems design shape outcomes. He is Founder & President of the Colorectal Cancer Equity Foundation and Founder & Chief Advisor of Rogers Solutions Group, where he advises health systems, nonprofits, foundations, and industry partners on translating health equity into impact. A leading voice on prevention, patient engagement, and community-centered innovation, Dr. Rogers explores why effective technologies, evidence-based interventions, and public health recommendations often fail to achieve their intended impact. His work focuses on the human factors that influence decision-making, including trust, lived experience, culture, and credibility. Dr. Rogers has led community-engaged initiatives addressing cancer disparities and population health challenges among Black Americans, Native Hawaiians, Hispanic populations, rural residents, sexual minorities, and people experiencing housing insecurity. His work helps organizations move beyond awareness toward behavior change and improved outcomes. With training spanning applied mathematics, statistics, public health, health policy, and cancer prevention, Dr. Rogers brings an interdisciplinary perspective to healthcare transformation, data-driven decision making, and equitable innovation. His work sits at the intersection of behavioral science, implementation, community engagement, and systems change. Dr. Rogers' research has been supported by the National Cancer Institute and the V Foundation for Cancer Research and published in The Lancet Oncology, JAMA Health Forum, and other leading journals. His expertise has been featured by NPR, ESPN, HuffPost, & other national media outlets. Through research, speaking, and advisory work, he helps organizations rethink how trust drives engagement, improves outcomes, and creates impact.
